When it comes to fashion, designer items by the likes of Chanel are coveted by many.
The clothes, bags and accessories don’t come cheap, so if you manage to have a Chanel product in your possession, you’re going to want to take good care of it.
So understandably, one mum was devastated when her five-year-old daughter got hold of her white Chanel handbag, which cost £2,000, and drew all over the front of it in blue marker pen.
You might have thought the bag was ruined for good, but thankfully the parent came across The Handbag Clinic, where experts restore bags.
A video of the restoration process was shared on @handbagclinic on TikTok, where it has garnered a lot of attention.
The clip was captioned: “What would you do if your daughter drew on a £2,000 Chanel?
“This is exactly what happened to this lady who booked her bag into our clinic.
“We carefully cleaned the ink and then use our unique metallic pigment to remove the staining.”
The video has gone viral, being watched more than 400,000 times and earning over 90,000 likes.
Thousands of people also took the time to comment on the clip, with many saying they wouldn’t be able to cope if something like this happened to them.
A few also joked the mum should “throw away” her child.
One person said: “Return it. And no I don’t mean the bag.”
“This is my daily birth control,” proclaimed a second.
Another wrote: “Sell the child and buy a new bag.”
“Throw the kid away,” suggested someone else.
However, not everyone was mad at the child, with some urging fellow users to have more compassion.
A fifth commented: “Guys remember kids don’t understand the value of things and they don’t have common sense. If you can’t understand that, don’t have one.”
A different user added: “Y’all should not have children if you’re going to care about a materialistic good more.”
